- Nevada pool builders need a Nevada State Contractors Board license; the A-10 classification (A-10a for residential pools) covers building pools and spas. Verify it on the NSCB license search. See our licensing guide.
- Get the contract, payment schedule and written warranty (structure, equipment, finish, workmanship) before any money changes hands, and make sure payments track completed stages.
- Confirm who pulls the building permit and who handles HOA approval, and that the price includes the required pool barrier/fence.
- Get 2–3 written, itemized quotes for the same size, type and features.
